Emerging Thing of the Week: Elizabeth Street Cafe

We just got back from Austin on Tuesday, and, especially once the weather turned from chillingly wet to warm ‘n sunny, we had a damn good time. Of all of the places we fell for down there (Perla’s! Stag! Feathers! Kick Pleat!), Elizabeth Street Cafe is the newcomer we’ve been telling everybody about. The name might suggest otherwise, but the cozy, laid-back spot that opened in December is all about French Vietnamese deliciousness—we’re talking keffir lime fried chicken bánh mì and grilled octopus bún at night and breakfast phở in the morning. As if all that weren’t enough, can we talk about how stellar the logo is? —erica
