In the Bag: Clark’s Botanicals
If you’ve been eyeballing our springtime grab bags, well, get on that: They’re nearly gone, and they make a stellar gift for moms, dads, grads, and even yourself—been known to happen. Plus! They include goodies from eight amazing brands you should know, including this one right here. —erica

The Company: Clark’s Botanicals
The Founder: Francesco Clark
The Story: In 2002, Francesco Clark, then a 24 year old working at Harper’s Bazaar, had one of those swimming pool accidents that makes your chest clench up. Not only could he no longer walk but he also lost his ability to sweat, which caused all sorts of skin problems that nothing he tried—prescription or otherwise—would remedy. So, with the help of his physician father, Francesco started dabbling in the skincare realm himself, developing botanically based face washes and lip treatments that eventually became the basis of his (sharply packaged) namesake line. If all of this isn’t appealing enough, a percentage of the company’s profits goes to The Christopher Reeve Foundation—Francesco is a National Ambassador.
