It’s L.A. Month! And When We’re in L.A., We Eat Sushi.
Los Angeles doesn’t get the fashion credit it deserves. Sure, the number of Uggs and rhinestone-emblazoned jeans per capita is upsetting, but there are also a lot of really talented designers who are taking advantage of the sunshine and the access to local manufacturing to make some ridiculously good lines. Over the next five weeks, we’ll introduce you to five of our favorites (with limited-edition pieces from each of them, duh)—first up Society for Rational Dress. We’ll also be sharing what we love so much about the city and what has made other stylish types such diehards. You can follow it all here.

First things first, we just wanted to share the one place to eat if you’re only going to hit a single restaurant: Sugarfish. We consumed their still-warm hand rolls (get the blue crab one) and crazy-fresh tuna sashimi two nights in a row, and the waitstaff looked at us like we were only a little insane. As good as the food scene in NYC is, the sushi (and the tacos—don’t forget the tacos!) in L.A. are about 43x better than anything we can get at home. —erica
