Remember the two-piece situations you were desperado to wear to your junior prom? This Katie Ermilio situation is about 397 times classier. Granted, it wouldn’t show off a rhinestone tattoo on your midriff. —erica

I would happily stand up in a wedding where this Katie Ermilio for Steven Alan number was the bridesmaid dress. You know, in case anyone’s wondering. —erica

What’s coating the sleeves of this Katie Ermilio top for fall? Bows—itty-bitty bows. —erica

Pardon our grainy Android pics—thankfully Katie Ermilio's fall collection is so bright and high-energy that it takes a lot to bring it down. On top of the clothes and the adorable, adorable designer herself, we were psyched to see some of the models rocking patent Dieppa Restrepo shoes. Oh, and, we loved the nails, which we’re going to think of as extreme half-moon instead of exaggerated French manicure. —erica

Supplies and Demand: Katie Ermilio

Are we still using the word posh? Because it suits Katie Ermilio so well. Both she and her designs are ridiculously polished—in that I-always-have-fresh-flowers sort of way—but she’s also cool. Basically, she’s the best/worst, and she was kind enough to tell us a few things help her stay that way.

Two floaty looks from her fall collection.

I have an overwhelming amount of Muji drawing pencils—they’re stainless steel and super-cool—and Copic sketching pens in .35. And my glasses—focusing intently on things for hours wears my eyes out, so I live in them. I’ve had glasses since I was a kid. My current pair, which I’ve had for over a year, is Balenciaga.”

Interior Inspiration: Thompson LES Hotel, NYC

We had our launch party on Wednesday! We were told it was fun, but we really couldn’t say—the whole night’s a blur, and not because of the free-flowing vodka. Here’s what we wore to our event at the very glossy Thompson LES…and what we might recommend to those heading to the hotel bar without hostessing duties. —erica

1) A painted leather cuff by Lauren Manoogian that would look especially nice on the heated patio.
2) The Katie Ermilio dress that I wore. Look too prim? Oh, it’s backless.
3) Claire’s leggy Michael Angel number. We don’t know what that print is exactly, but we heart it.
4) A Juma scarf printed with a moody, mysterious forest scene.
6) A cozy Vanishing Elephant cardigan that meshes with the mood lighting.

There is something very, very Funny Face about the photos Jamie Beck took of Katie Ermilio in her own designs. Like, they kind of make us want to sing "Bonjour, Paris!" around the apartment.
