Yah, the window of opportunity for these Kobe Husk boots is disappointingly small—in NYC, at least—but I can still want them, right? —erica

Weather Vain: Boise, Idaho - 79 and Clear

image

Can you believe this weather in Idaho right now? Oh, boy…see. —erica

+ Tiny ruby Blanca Monros Gomez earrings, as classic as a PB and honey sandwich from Bleubird.

+ A 3.1 Phillip Lim dress that really takes advantage of this shockingly warm October weather.

+ A ring, from Artasan, that would look stellar cozying up to a fork and diving into the tasting menu at State & Lemp.

+ Ready for a stroll around Camel’s Back Park? Because these Ash boots are.

+ A Clare V. clutch that’s, well, clutch in most every situation.

+ Shades from Cheap Monday—so you can check out all the happenings in Hyde Park.

There’s a whole lot more where this came from!

Weather Vain: Minneapolis, Minnesota - 69 and Clear

image

Last week, Claire and I went to Minneapolis. We love ourselves a Midwest work trip—and, somehow, I’d never been to MN. So, my question is, when do I get to go back? —erica

Clockwise from top left:

+ A ring by Kelly Wearstler that makes any outfit, really.

+ A Veda jacket that would be a total hit on the Target campus.

+ A wallet from Eayrslee with the sort of no-nonsense design the crew at The Foundry Home Goods would appreciate.

+ This Dealtry scarf + dinner outside at Borough before nice weather’s a thing of the past = a G.D. perfect night.

+ A Tibi dress that’s as cheery as the (amazing) cloud wallpaper at Marvel Bar.

+ Dream boots, really, from Loeffler Randall.

More of this! Bunches more!

Next Level: Contrast-Heel Boots

image

Are these some good-looking boots? Oh, heel yes. Four chances to add a little something extra along with that height. —erica

LEVEL I: Aaaand, suddenly the classic shape of these caramel guys from Loeffler Randall gets way more interesting.

LEVEL II: A clunky black heel keeps this Opening Ceremony style from looking too disco-era.

LEVEL III: Rupert Sanderson delivers a hit of metallic pink that would make any outfit.

LEVEL IV: Is the dusty mauve of this 3.1 Phillip Lim creation what dreams are made of? I think yes.

Get over here for more “Next Level.”

Track Star: Frankie Rose

The Vibe: Frankie Rose has been in just about every girl-group you’ve loved in the past couple of years—Crystal Stilts, Vivian Girls, and Dum Dum Girls. And she really shines on her solo album Interstellar, which is full of space-pop beats and her breathy vocals. She’s got a style that’s soft, mysterious, and full of black silk; it plays well with her dark hair and blood-red lips.

The One-Song Intro: “Know Me”

The Look, Recreated: This floral neoprene bodysuit from Shakuhachi, these coated jeans by April 77, these Dieppa Restrepo sleek all-black booties, and this Tucker black kimono dress. maitri mehta
