You can think of this as a necklace or as the instant outfit-maker. We choose the latter. This Iacoli & McAllister number, with its ultra-suede cording and brass and powder-coated beads, is one of those grab-and-go accessories—the thing can save you on your most rushed mornings (or make a basic black dress a real winner any day of the week). —erica

Iacoli & McAllister, the designers behind this sick, brass-and-ultrasuede necklace, make both furniture and jewelry—and that goes a long way to explaining the architectural nature of this stunning (and super-lightweight) little number. We are really into how it looks with classic, minimalist clothing that screams “gallerist” or “museum curator”—it’s a neutral piece with some major pop. —erica

A Case for…Arrows

I’m not about to pack my bags for Albuquerque or anything, but I am sweating a Southwestern aesthetic right now. This arrow motif is a lot more subtle than, say, a Pendleton jacket—which ups the likelihood that I’ll still want to wear these pieces 18 months from now when I’m suddenly into baby-doll dresses or Mondrian-inspired prints or god knows what. —erica
1) Iacoli & McAllister Hex necklace No. 2: Layer this with a pile of beaded strands and chains to give ‘em an instant update.
2) Me & Arrow mini arrow satchel: The subtlety is the sell here.
3) Pamela Love arrowhead bracelet: This sucker is about legit as it gets.
4) Mara Hoffman red arrows maxi skirt: How nicely would this go with a denim shirt and some Hatch chiles?

You wouldn’t think that the lopsided nature of this simple, brass-and-suede necklace from the Seattle-based firm Iacoli & McAllister would be quite as jarring as it is. —erica
