Weather Vain: Williamsburg, Brooklyn - 77 With a Chance of T-Storms

Today is totally one of those what-do-I-wear?! days for the L train contingent. It’s warm but not hot. And how much is it going to rain? Here, our prescription. —erica
Clockwise from top left:
+ A lightweight, breathable Raquel Allegra tee that won’t get too sweaty on the Lorimer platform.
+ A kick-ass Mociun ring—the jewelry phenom’s store is one of the best in the ‘hood!
+ A borderline-genius short-sleeve rain jacket from Boy by Band of Outsiders.
+ K/LLER earrings—ready for a night on the Wythe Hotel roof should the clouds part.
+ A super-hard-working clutch made by equally industrious local designer Collina Strada.
+ Some of the sleekest rain boots around, by Loeffler Randall.
+ A Christopher Kon wallet, to match the BBQ at BrisketTown.
+ Mother jeans that will hold up JUST FINE if they get splashed by a black car on Bedford.

Weather Vain - Key West, Florida - 72 and Partly Cloudy

One of the warmest destinations in the U.S. of A. today: Key West. What to wear if you don’t HAVE to wear a jacket. —erica
Clockwise from top left:
+ The sort of five-o’clock-somewhere pants from See by Chloe that leave plenty of room for Kermit’s key lime pie.
+ So, it’s not supposed to be a super-bright day, but this is definitely the sort of place where sunglasses—these by Karen Walker—are part of the uniform.
+ Stripes! On your soles! Alice + Olivia sandals that can navigate the rocky beaches.
+ A silk Tibi tank that goes with the motif of the Southernmost House.
+ Mociun earrings as quirky as your surroundings.
+ The low tonight: 64. So you can get away with just a Rag & Bone scarf-slash-shawl if you want to.
+ A wicker clutch from Rebecca Minkoff that’s a fun as it is easy—goes well with the catch of the day at the Flaming Buoy Filet Co.

Ok, had no clue that red diamonds were a thing, but Mociun knows how to make me want ‘em. —erica

These are the sort of earrings you can fall asleep wearing—a big sell during the party-hopping, just-one-more-stop holiday season when taking off your tights before crashing seems like too much work. But while these black diamond-and-gold Mociun guys do special-occasion so well, they can also hang at the office, the gym—meaning there’s really no reason to take them off, ever. —erica

We have a mini-meltdown whenever we see a new piece of Mociun jewelry. This, for example, is head-spinningly amazing. —erica

Weather Vain: Burlington, Vermont - 61 With Rain Showers
We are on the verge of road-trip season. If we were hitting the highway today, we’d be heading due north to Vermont—and we wouldn’t even complain about the rain. Here’s what we’d wear. —erica

Clockwise from top left:
+ Though the bag that Collina Strada made for us is mad sophisticated, it would get love from the staff at The Hempest, too.
+ These teeny Mociun earrings (for Of a Kind!) are never too dressy or too casual for any occasion.
+ While these Ilse Jacobsen rain boots add a dose of ruggedness to a city getup, they’d also manage some easy terrain at Camel’s Hump.
+ To cut through the gray-weather gloom, pull on these coral Notify pants.
+ If you get stuck in a downpour on St. Paul, you won’t even care in this MHL by Margaret Howell jacket.
+ This Charles Anastase top: Chill enough for a lazy afternoon and festive enough for a gut-busting meal at Pistou.

Caitlin Mociun makes the sort of jewelry that’s crazy-hard to come by—it’s so special and so simple AT THE SAME TIME. The mismatched earrings she created just for us epitomize her style: One stud is solid gold, and the other is flecked with three baby black diamonds. They’re the sort of hyper-polished finishing touch that call to mind a half dozen trite sayings—”it’s the little things,” “the devil’s in the details,” etc., etc. —erica

Next Level: Turquoise

If you missed out on our Geometric Lariat necklace by Erica Weiner, we feel bad for you—bad enough, in fact, that we dug up some (admittedly very cool) consolation prizes so that you don’t miss the boat on this turquoise moment altogether. Go ahead—get your rocks off. —erica
LEVEL I: There’s nothing flashy about this Isabel Marant cuff—good thing because you’re bound to want to wear it every day.
LEVEL II: These studded studs by Eddie Borgo will make your ears feel like ballers.
LEVEL III: For the first time, thanks to this gold, turquoise, and antique diamond ring by Mociun, I’m wanting for a right-hand ring.
LEVEL IV: You know the fashion mag editorials shot in the desert with sheer linen dresses? This Dannijo necklace belongs in one of those.
