In Character: Charlie Salinger

A decade before Lost came along, Matthew Fox was breaking hearts left and right on Party of Five as Charlie Salinger, 24-year-old man-boy with more responsibility than he can handle. Here’s how he dressed the part. —erica

A Farm Tactics henley that could pass for family dinner (or a night of bartending) at Salingers if need be.

A Gant by Michael Bastian shirt, made of flannel soft enough to soak up Claudia’s (possibly violin-related) tears.

PRPS jeans that the carpentry clients wanted to rip off him ASAP—even he couldn’t pull of pants with a hammer holster.

In Character: Lindsay Weir

When Lindsay Weir went from Mathlete to burnout, she adopted a slacker uniform—and won over many a fangirl and boy. Here’s how Paul Feig and Judd Apatow’s cultish freak worked her eighties-grunge look. —erica

A PRPS army jacket big enough to fit Nick.

A flannel shirt from Boy by Band of Outsiders that screams suburban angst.

A masculine Property Of… messenger for hauling around calc books.

Known Entities: Levi McConaughey

I don’t like celebrity babies, but I love famous toddlers—just ask Suri Cruise. For my money, there is no better-dressed little boy than the son of Matthew McConaughey. Levi looks like he was outfitted by Ron Herman. At the ripe old age of two, he has mastered the art of casual dressing and has an aptitude for shirt-wearing that certain grown men lack.

The essentials of his look:

Baggy, well-worn jeans (with room for a diaper) / Like: PRPS’s Barracudas

A small hat, as to not overshadow those big cheeks / Like: Engineered Garments’s bike cap

A work shirt, preferably in dark brown to better conceal any grass or popsicle stains / Like: Obey’s Basecamp shirt

There is just one last thing to say: Suck it, Kingston.
