Weather Vain: Williamsburg, Brooklyn - 77 With a Chance of T-Storms

Today is totally one of those what-do-I-wear?! days for the L train contingent. It’s warm but not hot. And how much is it going to rain? Here, our prescription. —erica
Clockwise from top left:
+ A lightweight, breathable Raquel Allegra tee that won’t get too sweaty on the Lorimer platform.
+ A kick-ass Mociun ring—the jewelry phenom’s store is one of the best in the ‘hood!
+ A borderline-genius short-sleeve rain jacket from Boy by Band of Outsiders.
+ K/LLER earrings—ready for a night on the Wythe Hotel roof should the clouds part.
+ A super-hard-working clutch made by equally industrious local designer Collina Strada.
+ Some of the sleekest rain boots around, by Loeffler Randall.
+ A Christopher Kon wallet, to match the BBQ at BrisketTown.
+ Mother jeans that will hold up JUST FINE if they get splashed by a black car on Bedford.

Weather Vain: Miami, Florida - 84 With a Chance of Thunderstorms

Party in the city where the heat is on…or where it’s pouring down rain. EITHER WAY. Here’s what to wear in Mee-ah-mee on a day like today. (Keely! We miss you! Come back!) —erica
Clockwise from top left:
+ A Loeffler Randall clutch, as fun as drinks at The Freehand.
+ The sort of so-easy Raquel Allegra dress that’s happy to live in a suitcase.
+ A Rag & Bone hat, protecting your hair from any T-storming—or, if the clouds part, the sun along the Wynwood Art Walk.
+ Rain sandals! Brought to you by Melissa.
+ Take this clunky-cool Jennifer Fisher bracelet to Joe’s Stone Crab or Yardbird, and don’t worry about getting messy.

Next Level: Laid-Back Lace

NEWSFLASH: Lace doesn’t have to be all prissy. Srsly! Here, four takes that are fly with ratty jeans and bedhead. —erica
LEVEL I: Yarnz delivers a lace-print scarf—and, adding in a few other motifs, doesn’t even make you fully commit.
LEVEL II: This Ella Moss sweatshirt belongs at a sunny cafe table, not at the gym.
LEVEL III: 3.1 Phillip Lim goes pseudo-stripy in a really killer way. And see what’s happening with the white pants? A good pairing call.
LEVEL IV: It doesn’t get more slouchy-cool than this Raquel Allegra jacket. Take the plunge.

Next Level: Fancy Baseball Tees

Total non-secret: I love baseball tees. On boys, on girls, and probably on dogs (just haven’t really considered it, is all). And, lucky for me, designers are amping up the classic raglan-sleeve number with the sort of fabrics and prints that would get you laughed right out of Busch Stadium. —erica
LEVEL I: We’re still working with a basic cotton here, but Raquel Allegra delivers on the cut and color fronts big time.
LEVEL II: Silk! Graphic! Picture this Rebecca Taylor sucker with slouchy wool pants for World Series season (i.e., autumn).
LEVEL III: 3.1 Phillip Lim always kills it on the texture from, and this knit take is Kozy (yup, with a capital K).
LEVEL IV: Why not go all animal-print nuts with A.L.C.? WHY NOT? Total homerun.

New Orleans in the summer? OOF. And this is just the beginning. Here’s what to wear in the Crescent City on a day like today when you’ve got to have your café au lait on ice. —erica

Clockwise from top left:
+ A Jérôme Dreyfuss bag that’s neutral…but not tooneutral.
+ A Raquel Allegra dress as white as the powdered sugar that coats a beignet.
+ Bright little Rebecca Minkoff sandals that can handle a hunt for a snowball, no matter how long it takes.
+ The mixed metals of this Dirty Librarian Chains necklace (just for Of a Kind!) mesh well with the city’s culture-melding ways.
+ A wood-and-howlite Sophie Monet bangle that goes as well with po’ boys from Parkway as poached gulf shrimp from Gautreau’s.
+ The no-fuss bifold Eayrslee created for us—encouraging you to carry no more than you absolutely need.
