This is how we feel about heat waves and 90-degree thunderstorms. Thanks, Fieldguided. —erica

There are few things harder to find than a good gym bag. So thank you, Tannis Hegan.

On the left, like a men’s version of a Longchamp bag, except way less ubiquitous. By the Spanish designer Steve Mono.

Each season, Fleabags introduces a new, limited-edition market tote. This summer: the Salt. The strap and handles are quite a sell.

Well, this just screams fall (and forgive me for getting excited about that on June 8). This company Me & Arrow is based in Echo Park, a neighborhood I’m convinced is two seconds away from being super hot, or super hot enough for me to know it in NYC.

Now, this is a handy bag—the sort that you don’t need to feel bad about putting on the floor of the subway. Thank you, Erik Schedin. Now to only get to Dover Street Market

I’ll take it. Is it just for boys? I hope not. I can never have enough of these things. I’m pretty sure it’d end up becoming my lunchbag.

putthison:

The wonderful folks at Archival Clothing have produced these lovely musettes.  I guess musette means “little tote bag.”  Whatever they’re called, they’re beautiful, and every detail is perfectly executed.  They come in tan waxed cotton, yellow and navy (above), and there’s a flap version on the way.  The best part: they’re fifty bucks, which for a product of this quality is a fantastic price.

In the age of the internet (that’s the age we’re in, right?), I have way too much trouble wrapping my head around the concept of “I could only dream of owning as they aren’t sold anywhere in the northeast.” Fashion for everyone! Everywhere! All the time!

sarazucker:

the ny times highlighted olympia le-tan’s book bags, a favorite of mine that i could only dream of owning as they aren’t sold anywhere in the northeast.

the designs not-even-loosely inspired some new styles from kate spade. granted, i’ve been tempted to make my own with a hollowed-out novel, but we are left to wonder whether le-tan takes action against the literal fashion faux pas.

Clare Vivier Messenger Bag

In the past couple of weeks several of my girlfriends have been involved in a search for the perfect every day handbag. Here it is! I found it!

ps. Yes, I know you can’t see it here, but it does have a top zip, which is indeed a requirement for the perfect every day handbag
