Weather Vain: Minneapolis, Minnesota - 69 and Clear

image

Last week, Claire and I went to Minneapolis. We love ourselves a Midwest work trip—and, somehow, I’d never been to MN. So, my question is, when do I get to go back? —erica

Clockwise from top left:

+ A ring by Kelly Wearstler that makes any outfit, really.

+ A Veda jacket that would be a total hit on the Target campus.

+ A wallet from Eayrslee with the sort of no-nonsense design the crew at The Foundry Home Goods would appreciate.

+ This Dealtry scarf + dinner outside at Borough before nice weather’s a thing of the past = a G.D. perfect night.

+ A Tibi dress that’s as cheery as the (amazing) cloud wallpaper at Marvel Bar.

+ Dream boots, really, from Loeffler Randall.

More of this! Bunches more!

A printed dress and jacket combo typically feels so…bridal luncheon. But not with the help of Veda and some LEATHER. —erica

Weather Vain: Prospect Heights, Brooklyn - 73 and Partly Cloudy

You know those days that are just freaking glorious? Well, today, in my neck of the woods, it’s one of them. Here’s to taking advantage of that. —erica

Clockwise from top left:

+ A Veda jacket as comforting as the ramen at Chuko.

+ Little B Store slip-ons ready for bike-riding along Eastern Parkway.

+ A Kelly Wearstler ring that would get you all sorts of compliments from the cool kids on Vanderbilt.

+ This A.L.C. dress—because we’re ALL ABOUT white after Labor Day.

+ A tote from Lizzie Fortunato that can hang with a super-polished Weather Up cocktail.

So much more “Weather Vain!” Have at it.

Next Level: Leather Vests

It’s definitely not cool enough outside for leather jackets yet. But when the mornings and nights turn just crisp, these fly sleeveless alternatives are the perfect things to toss on—they look especially good over anything that feels a touch too girly and under wool coats when the weather turns legit chilly. —erica

LEVEL I: It really doesn’t get more classic than this Haute Hippie number.

LEVEL II: Because OXBLOOD…c/o Iro.

LEVEL III: Lilac? No, we didn’t see that coming either, but this Veda guy looks really good with denim (and black and cream and gray…).

LEVEL IV: Whoa, Philip Lim. Really going there. And we’re not complaining.

You ready for this? Lyndsey Butler of Veda is back with not one but three killer versions of her so-cool, drapey, vintage-driven jackets. See, the bodies are made of found Levi’s and M65 army jackets, and the sleeves are in leather. It’s impossible not to look rad in one of these puppies. —erica
