Remember the first season of 90210 when Donna didn’t talk? Well, she would have bopped around the halls in a tiny skirt and this Yestadt hat. —erica

In Tune: Yestadt Millinery
In honor of fashion week and all the new-collections brouhaha, we’ve asked Of a Kind designers to share the songs that found their way into their spring 2013 designs. Oh, and: These music picks come with sneak peeks of said collections. Keep up with “In Tune” posts here.

To dress in a way that conveys you’re both a lover and a fighter—that is one tough task. But the Hey Arnold! leading lady (if there was such a thing) was nothing if not determined. Here, three essential components of her PS 118-ruling look. —erica

Minnie Mouse gets all the attention, but Daisy has way more attitude—she’s the Lisa Turtle to Minnie’s Kelly Kapowski, the Rhoda Morgenstern to her Mary Tyler Moore. And she really knows how to shake her tailfeather. (It’s not very often I have the opportunity to work in a Nelly shout-out.) —erica

A ginormous pink bow from Yestadt Millinery that really plays up her feminine wiles.

A frou-frou Geren Ford shirt bold enough to distract from a fully exposed tail.

A statement-making cuff from Dannijo that says she’s in charge—and you don’t want to get her angry.
